The UV-C Technology
The UV technology is both the oldest and one of the very latest technologies used to disinfect fluids. The method is based on the natural disinfectant action of the sun’s rays.
Ultra-Violet (UV) light is invisible to the human eye and is divided into UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The UV-C spectrum(185 nm–280 nm) is known as the germicidal spectrum that is used for sanitization and purification.
UV-C light at appropriate dosages deactivates the DNA of bacteria, virus, and other pathogens and thus destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. Thus, they cannot replicate and cause disease in the future.
Since UV-C technology is a non-chemical approach to disinfection of water, air and surfaces. In this method of disinfection, nothing is added – making it simple, inexpensive, and very low maintenance.
The peak of germicidal effectiveness is 265nm, the most lethal wavelength to microorganisms. Our LED has a wavelength of 265 nm to 280 nm which has the maximum sterilization effect of eliminating 99.99% of germs, viruses and bacteria. The recommended duration of disinfection with a UV-C lamp is 9-15 seconds at a distance of six inches from the lamp.
1) Broad Applications
Can be used to disinfect all possible surfaces, liquids, and even air streams.
2) No Allergens/ Harmful Chemicals
No alcohol and hazardous components(triclosan or triclocarban) are included, which are shown to cause skin problems such as Eczema and a skin disorder.
3) No Health Risk
Do not cause any health risk, unlike hand sanitizers. No negative effects on fertility, hormone and immune system.
4) Proven Effectiveness
Cleaning and chemical disinfection is unable to eliminate all the dangerous pathogens on surfaces and in the air with the same effectiveness as UVC light disinfection.
- Mask -
According to the CDC, NIOSH(National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) has found that Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation, vaporous hydrogen peroxide and moist heat have shown the most promise as potential methods to decontaminate face masks. Sterilize your masks easily with our UV-C for an added layer of protection without compromising the fit of the mask and risk of chemical inhalation compared to other methods of decontamination.
- Home -
You can protect your living space from invasion of viruses or bacteria carried during your stay in a public area. You can sanitize all types of personal goods and furniture, including phones, laptops and leather products. You can disinfect frozen food and food packaging as well where the Sars-CoV-2(Covid-19) is detected. According to WHO, Contacting with these items is same as contacting the common surfaces or areas that can be easily contaminated with virus. Also, it is completely safe to disinfect baby/kid products with our UV-C sterilizer.
- Restaurant -
In dining places such as restaurants, a UV-C lamp is ideal for consumers to sterilize the dining area/utensils before a meal.
The sterilizer can be also placed at shops and supermarkets near shopping baskets to disinfect basket handles and other high contact areas in public.
- Public Area -
Our pocket-sized UV-C sterilizer is completely portable and perfect for daily use. It's suitable for a rapid disinfection of contact points and public surfaces. Unlike chemical disinfecting solutions, UV-C radiation allows disinfection on all surfaces without physical contact and residual effects.
- Transportation -
Public transportations and private hire vehicles such as taxis and grab cars are exposed to high human traffic thus increasing the risk of cross contamination. Traditional liquid sterilizers are not feasible on fabric and other public areas thus the UV-C would be most ideal in such situations.
